Which Revit versions does it work with?
This preview upgrades older files to Revit 2026, using the Revit 2026 installed on your PC. More target versions are on the way. You need a working Revit 2026 licence on the machine.
Does it change my original files?
No. It always saves upgraded copies to an output folder. Your originals are left exactly as they were.
Are my models uploaded anywhere?
No. Files are opened and saved on your own machine by your own Revit. Nothing is uploaded.
What happens if a file fails?
The queue marks it as failed and carries on with the next one.
Windows says it "protected your PC". Is that normal?
Yes. UpgradeBot is new, so Windows doesn't recognise the publisher yet. Click More info, then Run anyway. A signed version is on the way.
Can I use it while I work?
You can, but it's built for when you're away — Revit is busy while the queue runs. Most people set it going at the end of the day.
