Terms of use
Last updated: 6 October 2026. These terms apply to your BotsInTheModel account and the UpgradeBot software.
1. The software
UpgradeBot automates your own installed copy of Autodesk Revit to open, upgrade and save Revit files on your computer. You need a valid Revit licence. BotsInTheModel is not affiliated with or endorsed by Autodesk.
2. Your files
Your files are processed on your machine and are not uploaded to us. UpgradeBot writes upgraded copies and does not modify the originals. You remain responsible for keeping backups of your work and for checking upgraded files before relying on them.
3. Your account
- One account per person. Keep your password private.
- You may not resell, reverse engineer, or redistribute the software.
- We may suspend accounts that abuse the free credit allowance or the service.
4. Credits
- One credit is used for each file UpgradeBot upgrades.
- Free credits have no cash value and the free allowance may change.
- Purchased credits are non-refundable once used.
5. No warranty
The software is provided "as is". Revit itself performs the upgrade, and we can't guarantee every file will upgrade successfully. To the extent the law allows, BotsInTheModel is not liable for loss of data, time or profit arising from use of the software.
6. Data we keep
We store your name, email address, credit balance and a log of credit use, so your account works. We don't sell your data. Ask us to delete your account at any time.
